Davines Sea Salt Spray

November 7, 2012

I usually hate hair products, but I am in love with Davines Sea Salt Spray. Usually hair products instantly make my hair feel dirty, and I am forced to wash my hair the next day because the product tends to make my hair greasy. But Davines salt spray makes my hair matte not greasy, smells great, and creates texture that I have never had before on clean hair. It is wonderful, and really thickens my fine hair. I purchased my Davines sea salt spray on amazon for $27.50.

This Davines sea salt spray really perfects my messy bun. Below are great you-tube videos I found on how to fishtail braid, milkmaid braid and to create the perfect ballerina bun.

I also tried lots of other Davines products which I really enjoy using.

Jo Malone

June 12, 2012

I was at a party last week (which was beyond fabulous), and when I walked in the bathroom I was in awe. A Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin candle was burning. The scent was so refreshing, relaxing, and softly elegant. I was so surprised how much I enjoyed the scent. I am not a purfumey type of girl, mostly because nothing ever smells that good to me. I try.. . . . . believe me I own about a half-a-dozen full purfume bottles that never get used. I have walked by the Jo Malone store numerous times, passed by the fragrance section in countless department stores. What a big mistake on my part: Jo Malone serves up beautifully citrus, fruity, light floral scents that are irresistible. They also carry floral, spicy, and woody type of scents. What I love most about the brand is the scents are meant to be layered or mix & matched to compliment one another.

I bought the Lime Basil & Mandarin cologne, and have been applying to my neck day and night. I also received samples of Earl Grey & Cucumber and Wild Bluebell and they are also both delicious. I am in love this brand. They smell so delightful, they are worth checking out. I myself are going to be giving Jo Malone a lot more money in the future. Anything by Jo Malone would also make a wonderful gift, especially for a new home.

My new favorite beauty product

May 8, 2012

Laura Mercier hydratint spf 15 colored lip balm is my new favorite lip balm. It gives me just enough color to look like I put effort into my makeup, all the while adding moisture to my lips. If you hate lipstick you will love this product.

Laura Mercier $20

These colors produce a subtle sheen of color, to make this a real cross between lip balm and a sheer lipstick

I first bought the rose tint color and against my tan skin the pink was almost to light. Than I bought the plum tint color and pair it with a nude lipliner for a more lipstick-y feel. If these lip balms weren’t $20 bucks a pop I would likely buy more colors. I have tried other tinted chap sticks and this product by far is my favorite.

Las Vegas Hair Extensions

March 19, 2012

Ever thought about getting hair extensions? Want to know more? I took the the plunge and got Great Lengths hair extensions in Las Vegas. Great lengths are real human hair bonded to your natural hair. Since they are attached to your head, you can wash, curl, blow-dry your hair as normal. The only difference is you get to use a special hair brush. To my knowledge Great Lengths are some of the best hair around and look really natural, in fact no one can tell I have them in since they are such a perfect color match to my hair.

My hair comes to bust line

This picture is the most recent of my super long mermaid hair. I decided to get extensions because I wanted super crazy long hair…now, and more importantly because I trust my hair stylist who does them. Her name is Julia Latella and she is at Diva Studio (702)933-3482. Julia said I would love them and she is right. The funny thing is my husband loves them even more that I do. Who knew super long hair could be so sexy? I hate having maintenance, and the only maintenance great lengths extensions have are getting them replaced every 4-5 months. They are costly but so worth it. Here are some celebs rock-in Great Length extensions

Yes, even JLo has hair extensions

If you are thinking about getting them done you will have to have a consultation, and if you don’t get a consultation before hand I would find a different stylist. The stylist will need to determine how long you want them along with a perfect color match and how much hair you will actually need. If you live in Las Vegas or visiting sometime soon and are thinking about extensions….Julia is the best. To ask her questions directly, see her work along with before and after pictures, click here

Julia is the best, which means you have to book ahead because she is always booked. Consultations are free and I figure should only take about 5-10 minutes max. What I love most about my extensions is while I have fake super long hair like Miley Cryus , my hair continues to grow so soon I won’t need them!!!

Makeup Art Board

September 26, 2011

Man you have to love Facebook. I came across this cool makeup style board concept and love it from a post. It’s a great way to keep your make up clean, and visible so you will want to put it on.

To create this super-cool storage system, go to your local hardware store and find a metal sheet. Then, to spruce it up, simply paint it in a layer of light blue paint (or any color of your choosing) and find an ornate gold frame or a frame of your choosing.

To make the products stick, attach a tiny magnet to the back of each using hot glue. Hang your board anywhere.

This was from Liz Marie’s Blog . I think Liz Marie Makeup board is genius!

Spin Pin by Goody

August 3, 2011

I am in love with the spin pin by Goody.

The spin pin comes in two colors, Blonde and Brunette. What I love most about this product is it holds my bun with one spin pin verses 20 bobby pins. What I don’t like about this product is the cost ($6.50 for 2 pins), plus I misplace these spirales so easily.

I bought my spin pins at Target and also saw them at Claires and Ulta. The other products I have tried in the commerical were not as good. So if you have long hair, try the spin pin.

Price Increases for clothing

May 26, 2011

Heads up… cotton and wool prices are going threw the roof. Cotton prices alone have nearly doubled over that past 12 months, making it one of the hottest commodities so far this year. If you haven’t already noticed clothing is becoming more expensive, look again. Your favorite brands have taken any where from a 10% to 25% price increase. Cotton prices are kind of like gas prices, it will hopefully come down a little bit but for the most part will stick.

Which reminds me that to fill up my gas tank costs around $55 dollars…Yikes

Have you heard of Birchbox before? Well I have be receiving a Birch box for the last three months and love the concept so I thought I would share. For $10 bucks a month, you receive a beautiful box with 4-5 samples. The box includes anything from skincare, makeup to cult beauty tools, from well-known brands as well as emerging gems.

What I love must about Birchbox is that it is a small business that has come up with a unique way to sell stuff to their customer (love supporting small businesses). It’s also great receiving a monthly package of good quality products that I would of otherwise not bought off the rack or at a cosmetic counter. It’s hard for me to commit to a certain brand because there are so many out there to choose from. For example I love Nars: blush, amazing cosmetics: concealer, Blink mascara…. etc. etc. Birch box introduces me to products that I might not buy. So trust me on this one, it is totally worth $10 and would also make a great b-day or mother’s day gift.
If you love one of the samples you have tried it can than be purchased on
