Custom Made Men’s Shirts in Las Vegas

November 24, 2010

There is nothing better in the world of fashion then custom-made clothes. Custom made men’s shirts in Las Vegas can be found many places like: Nordstrom, Gary Franzen, Stitched, Kiton, just to name a few. I know what you all are thinking, custom fitting clothing is super pricey and simply out of your reach. Frankly, most are but let me introduce you to JHilburn.

Custom Made Men’s Shirts in Las Vegas

You get to pick the fabric, collar, cuff, style and fit, basically every aspect. There are many different price points based on the fabric choices. Starting at $109, $129, $139, $149, $169. There is no minimum you can order just one shirt. I use to rep this company and the shirts are the real deal. I will only brag about the shirts, not everything Jhilburn custom makes is my favorite. But in terms of shirts Jhilburn is it. I have had many people tell me positive experiences about ordering custom made men’s shirts online from  different company’s but have never actually tried another service.

Now if custom is out of your reach, and you can’t find a shirt to fit you right. I have your solution for $15. Get is altered. If a shirt fits correctly in the shoulders and length you can get it altered in the width to fit correctly. I will fit so much better. We all have different body types and alterations is the key to looking really good with clothes on!

How Not To Become A Victim Of High Waters

May 18, 2010

Every time I find myself in a professional group setting, I notice that there is a hand-full of people wearing high water pants (aka High Waters). Today, I am covering the basics of pant lengths in the hopes that someone who needs my advice will take it.

Let’s start with the basics. A break is key to avoiding High Waters. The break is based on where your pants fall on your shoes. It is simply a result of the length of your pants. A good break should create a horizontal crease in the fabric across the front of your pant leg and gather a bit. For example, if the break comes too high or is not defined enough, your pants will look too short when you stand or walk.

When hemming pants, my preference is to pin my client’s hem at the bottom of the soles of their shoes. The hem is about be a quarter of an inch from touching the ground. In my opinion, when you walk you should not be able to see your socks.

The Right Length

The Wrong Length (AKA: fashion no-no)

There is always exception’s to the rule. If you are a hipster at heart, you can definitely rock the ankle length pants. Here are some pictures to give you an example of what I mean.

A Fashionable Man Bag

April 16, 2010

I had a friend in town a couple of weeks ago and went to hang out with him poolside. It wasn’t until we got up to leave that I noticed he was carrying a man purse and that it was ugly as sin. Come on, how are you suppose to pick up chicks carrying a man-purse that looks like something my 82 year old aunt would rock? I have started carrying my camera around with me to collect evidence of what happens when good people make fashion mistakes. With that said, here is what I came up with for cool man bags.

Sacks 5th Ave/ Marc Jacobs $358

Neiman Marcus/ Burberry $550

Gucci $695.00

Urban Outfitters/ Fred Perry $68.00

Tumi/ Capi Crossbody Bag $150

If women carry purses, what can men carry their stuff in? Personally I am a big fan of men carrying backpacks or messenger bags. There is a huge selection out there, and if a man bag is your thing, buy something that is chic and fashionable. Women do take notice.

UNDATEABLE

April 2, 2010

“Undateable: 311 Things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won’t be Dating or Having Sex.”, by Anne Coyle and Ellen Rakieten. There are so many reviews about this book, I just had to read it. It is intended to be funny, and the reality is, the things that made me laugh are true. I read this book in about an hour. Here are my top 5 examples from the book that made me smile, because it is so dead on.

$15

# 14 Dad Jeans

# 56 Ed Hardy-Esque Wear– I would also like to include TapOut, Affliction, and Christian Audigier

# 86 Sleeveless T-shirts– If you want to wear a tank top purchase a pack of wife-beaters

#161 Quoting Lines From Movies in Character– Is not cool or sexy

#309 Ordering Wine @ a Sporting Event-

My vote is that it is worth reading for every single guy looking to date. Don’t get your feelings hurt, laugh and then change it up. If you would like to win this book please leave a comment on this blog post to enter. Prize winner will be e-mailed April 15, 2010.

Not your typical wallet

March 22, 2010

Not your typical wallet, but it might be even better. I am always looking to simplify things for myself and my clients, or to find the newest thing out there. Money Bands isn’t a new concept, but a better one. If you have ever tried to use your typical rubber band (or ponytail holder) for your wallet, you know that it is not a wallet solution. That is what makes Money Bands so special. The diameter, width, and materials are ideal for keeping your cards and cash in place. Being a rubber band wallet the lifeline is around six months and it cost $3.99 plus shipping. Check it out at www.money-band.com

Not Your Average Hoodie

March 11, 2010

Amp up your game and take your causal hoodie up a notch. This zip up cardigan is just like your hoodie, but is lighter in weight with out the hood. This style is a must have for all my male clients. I truly love a man dressed in chic causal clothes.
